Saturday, May 15th, 2010

After the engagement, many soon to be brides may begin to think of the ideal marriage gown they want for their special occasion. A number of women may opt for more traditional styles of dresses while many others could choose a contemporary look to suit their personalities. Setting the trend in the ultimate bridal collections, are of course, the designs of wedding dresses for celebrities.

Browsing through the pages of a bridal magazine, one may come across a number of styles that have been based on the creations worn by renowned actors, musicians and models. These designs are often recreated to suit the shapes and sizes of ordinary women who too wish to make a statement at their betrothal.

Celebrity weddings are often filled with a sense of glamor and extravagance. The gowns chosen by these superstars are regularly produced by famous creators, and many times cost is not really an important factor. As a result, the designs are often extraordinary and the fabrics used are often lavish imported wears. These masterpieces then commonly become a talking point around the world and may further set a trend in bridal attire.

Modern styles in wedding fashions often vary, but many new brides may choose distinct patterns to match their body. The empire waist is one trend that continues to be used in the design of wedding dresses. Another famous feature in bridal gowns is the boob tube finish which regularly enhances the users complexion and delicate upper body. These trends have been a common site among the choices used at celebrity weddings.

Fabrics and colors are also important factors in the final appearance of a wedding gown. The conventional bride may opt for the traditional bridal satin finish in a pure white tone, although celebrities throughout the years have regularly moved away from the more unadventurous options. Expensive silks, lace and crushed fabrics have all been incorporated into the modern wedding gown selections we frequently encounter in stores today.

Exquisite handmade fabrics, delicate beading and jewelled dresses have also made their appearance amid celebrity weddings over the last season. The range of colors used has also frequently been more daring with shades of pink, the use of red and black tones, and an evident move away from the conservative use of stark white hues. Brides who are not as brave but still feel that they want to include something less cautious, may often opt to use ivory and gold tones to finish off their ideal gowns.

The mermaid style dress is another popular choice among famous people. This trend often accentuates the slim waistline while slightly curving outward at the bottom for added effect. However, the ever appealing style of wedding gown, renowned for its simple yet sophisticated look, remains the shape known as A Line. This pattern is well fitted at the bodice but often offers a slight curve downwards to make for a modern appearance.

In conclusion, many celebrities remain the trendsetters in establishing modern marriage gowns that are both appealing to the masses and suitable for everyday women. Designs and colours may vary each season but wedding dresses for celebrities will regularly be viewed as something that sets the tone in bridal fashion.

Government Health Care Reform Is A Prescription For Tyranny

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

As noted in the first article of this series, health care reform is clearly needed in America. To look to big government to provide this reform is like asking the fox to guard the chicken house. As usual, government presents itself as the cultural balm to heal all wounds. In reality it has become the cultural bomb to wound all heels. The “heels” of course are all those who desire to employ the power of government to give them something for which they are too lazy to work.

The U.S. Constitution provides no authorization for the health care reform legislation enacted by the Federal government by devious means in the Spring of 2010. Nor does the Bible grant such coercive power to the civil magistrate. This law represents government abuse of power in a direct attack on the freedom of the individual.

The Crux Of Socialized Medicine

Let’s pause for a moment to elaborate on that point. The little classic by Frederic Bastiat, entitled “The Law” makes the point crystal clear. Bastiat notes first that the purpose of civil government is to administer justice by enforcing the law. Its function is to prevent citizens from violating the life, liberty or property of their neighbors.

As a nation drifts toward socialism the law is more and more twisted for the purpose of unjustly extracting money from one social class to give to another. “Health care is a right, not a privilege,” according to Barack Obama. The satisfaction of this “right” then justifies the legalized theft of property.

“The law has placed the collective force at the disposal of the unscrupulous who wish, without risk, to exploit the person, liberty, and property of others. It has converted plunder into a right, in order to protect plunder…The law has been perverted by the influence of two entirely different causes: stupid greed and false philanthropy.” -Frederic Bastiat

Government funded health care is a prime example of such legalized plunder, although the government may have a role in enforcing public health regulations. But when it comes to providing health care itself, the assumption is that no other societal institution can handle the task, least of all the church. God will surely judge a government that thereby perverts its fundamental responsibility to administer justice in His stead.

The Cost of Socialized Medicine

Any flaws in the private health care system will be exploited by a government seeking to expand its power beyond the requirements of simple justice. The “cure” is always worse than the disease when government gets involved, as seen in the outcomes of ObamaCare below:

* It will cost more than a trillion dollars

* Health care will be rationed with life-threatening wait times

* “End of life” counseling will result in more assisted suicide

* Abortions will be paid for with taxpayers’ money

* The door is left open for participation of illegal aliens

* An already shaky medical system will be pushed to the brink of insolvency

Perhaps the most damaging aspect of government run health care is that it inhibits the development of cutting edge breakthroughs in medical science. These include therapies that have proven themselves effective for years overseas as well as discoveries within the United States.

This is in effect an attack on freedom of choice because it artificially restricts the number of choices available. Very often these are life and death decisions. If a technique falls outside the prevailing paradigm it is almost automatically rejected.

Medicine, as a branch of science, is subject to the same prejudice that has hobbled science for centuries. Great paradigm shifts are required to at long last abandon outmoded theory that clings like a barnacle. We saw it in the Copernican Revolution, the Newtonian Revolution, and most recently in the Quantum Revolution. The latter has been accepted in theory. But there is still great resistance to medical application of the Human Body Field (HBF) – that field of quantum energy underlying the biochemistry of the body.

The bio energy field and alkaline water represent two of the most dramatic recent developments in bio-chemical research. Oliver Woods is a life extension consultant focusing on these two therapies. Both have received the enthusiastic endorsement of many who have experienced a renewed sense of well-being. For more information dial 218-862-1300 (PIN=886161) at noon or 6pm (PST).

Like Oil And Water, The Profit Motive And Health Care Reform Don’t Mix

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Some have likened the skills of modern medicine to those of the “body & fender” auto-mechanic. They are pretty good at patching up a damaged exterior and making it look good, but are limited in their ability to deal effectively with a malfunctioning “engine.” Following is a brief summary of the problems inherent in the business model of health care that prevails in the United States.

Rejects Wholistic Medicine

The current system (2010) promotes a mechanistic view of the human body, which tends to treat a malfunctioning organ in isolation, much like the independent systems of an automobile. If a part is broken just fix or replace it using the Just In Time (JIT) distribution model.

There is a de-emphasis on nutrition and suppression of natural healing techniques that are far more effective than the chemical approach to health care. The natural healing approach uses natural substances (as presented in nature) to augment natural healing processes within the body.

Embraces Harmful Drug Therapy

Drugs are produced which alleviate or mask symptoms and do not address underlying causes of disease. Drugs promote an acidic condition in the body which leads to retraction of the disease and sets the stage for other problems. A misleading distinction between “good” and “bad” drugs is established in the public mind.

In addition drugs usually produce side-effects which are often worse than the disease, including death. In fact, doctor induced death by means of drugs and other malpractice is the #3 cause of death in America, according to the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA, July 26, 2000;284(4):483-5). About 100,000 are killed annually by physician administered drugs.

Driven By Profit Motive

The health insurance system restricts coverage to known risks/diseases and thus discourages innovation. Thus, the entire system is locked into the status quo and patients are thereby forced to accept ineffective and outrageously expensive treatments as the norm. Degenerative disease for almost everybody is the inevitable result.

At the same time, the insurance system provides no incentive for consumers to practice preventative medicine and further escalates costs. The system rewards inactivity and passive response, but does little or nothing to incentivize personal responsibility.

The prevailing business model has a vested interest in maintaining a diseased condition in the populace, which requires ongoing purchase of expensive drugs. Breakthroughs that result in actual healing or cure are a threat to the system. Thus, billions are spent on propaganda to convince the public and health care practitioners that drugs are the way to go.

There are other factors driving costs skyward under the business model, that make health coverage unaffordable for more and more middle-class Americans. The legendary failure of the business model is doubly dangerous. It produces an outcry that invites the intervention of big government. Thus, has arisen one of the great oxy-morons of the modern world: “We’re from the government and we’re here to help.”

For more on the dangers inherent in government involvement in health care see part two in our series: 1) The Business Model, 2)The Government Model, and 3) The Biblical Model.

Countless individuals report dramatic life changes that result from restructuring the bio energy field and drinking alkaline water Oliver Woods is a life extension consultant focusing on these two therapies. For more information dial 218-862-1300 (PIN=886161) at noon or 6pm (PST).

Identifying Anger And Hitting Upon Your Anger Free Management Technique

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

How do you know the anger free management technique that is best to use in stressful situations? First, by identifying the emotional triggers that set off negative emotions within oneself. Generally, these emotions are stirred after an annoyance, a feeling of benevolence or in response to belligerence when aroused by a wrong. As negative emotions can often lead to acts of rage when allowed to surge out of control, anger can be a very dangerous emotion. Dangerous because it can lead to death or prison if one is not careful in both their actions and reactions regarding same.

Anyone experiencing negative emotions, especially those which can lead to acts of rage should therefore seek out professional help immediately. In doing so, one should always seek methods, programs and treatment centers based on the type of situations which set off these negative emotions. For example, if there are problems in marriage, one might choose to see a marriage counselor who also specializes in managing such negative emotions. Whereas, if at school or work, one might seek advice from an administrative guidance counselor.

To assure success in any program, always select one based on your own personal needs. Discover the areas in which negative emotions are initiated and work from that perspective to eliminate the aspects that are creating the emotional discomfort in the first place. Whether home or work, anxiety or stress, finding ways to control your temper through these classes, seminars and workshops can be an experience that will not only last but one that will remain useful throughout a lifetime.

A good way to avoid problems with others is to always think before you speak. Also, if you are already faced with a situation in which individuals are becoming upset, try to step back and think about the best way to handle the situation before it gets out of control. Remain calm and look at the scenario from all points of view. This should enable you to think clearer and find a resolution which may possibly work for all parties involved.

By fixing the something rather than hurting the someone in these situations you will find a path to peaceful resolutions that can last a lifetime. If you are unable to do so however and are still having emotional issues which continue to rage out-of-control, then it is most likely time to seek professional help.

Although these classes have been around for some time, many different discussions and meetings are being offered on the topic today. These are similar to that of group therapy with individuals sharing in a group setting. In these classroom settings, individuals work together within a group to create both issues and resolutions through peaceful means which is a great way to learn how to get along with others while also learning to manage emotional outbursts, two lessons that can enhance life and last a lifetime.

Although popular for years, it is only now that these classes, seminars and workshops have moved into mainstream society. Today there are a number of companies, hospitals, schools and other workplaces offering seminars in this area. In addition, individuals can also find a good selection of resource materials at local booksellers, county libraries and through many Internet based classes.

With regards to medication, there are number of herbal products on the market today designed to help one relax and overcome negative emotions on a daily basis though the statistics on results are varied. However, if one is diagnosed with a severe mental disorder which is preventing the individual from controlling their emotions, prescription medication may be a last resort. It should be noted however that most patients requiring this treatment are required to go through a series of multiple tests and generally at least two examinations by different psychiatric physicians before being diagnosed and treated.

Anger Free Management Technique classes, seminars and workshops are now being offered worldwide. Always remember to locate the one that is best suited to fit your own emotional issues and needs. Also, there are now a number of businesses and universities offering study on the topic to ensure a peaceful and prosperous academic environment or workplace. Regardless of location, if anger is getting in the way of success, creating situations where loved ones are being hurt at home or in which you yourself are threatened, then its time to seek out the right program and begin a more peaceful journey through the rest of your life.

Parents are constantly looking for adolescent anger management techniques to help them help their child. Sometimes it’s worth considering whether anger management for men is more appropriate. Why not take a look at the free information on our website.

Engagement Rings For Luxury Weddings

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

What are good engagement rings for luxury weddings? Many men do not know, because it is not something they often think about. Therefore when a proposal is looming, how can a good ring be decided on? Will your fiancee like it, is it stylish, and what are the different cuts of stone? It can all be very confusing.

The first step is to understand her tastes. She will have to wear this ring for years, so it should be something she loves to look at. If you want this to be a surprise, carefully try to ask her about stone cuts. Look at her jewelry to see if she prefers gold or silver. If you cannot do either of these, go with something silver in color (including white gold or platinum). These are more fashionable because they match more easily and have more shine.

As for the stone, unless she expressly dislikes diamonds, you should always go with a luxury diamond. It is the classic symbol of engagement. Whenever anyone sees the ring, they will know you are engaged. A colored stone could be misinterpreted, and also may clash with her clothes. Diamonds have a great reputation for being expensive, rare, and very sophisticated. No matter how much you spend on a diamond, it will always be considered more expensive than a colored stone of the same size.

Many women hate pear shaped diamonds. In the media, rings with this cut of stone are largely jokes. Pear shape should be reserved for necklaces and earrings -anything that would require it to hang. Just having it lie on a finger would make it look silly.

The most classic cuts are circles, squares, and the ever-so-lovely emerald cut, which is really just a rectangle. The thing about these stones is that no matter how big or small, no matter how the fashions change over the years, these will never go out of style or draw negative attention. They fill up a finger nicely and are basic enough to last through all sorts of trends.

Oval rings are a slight variation. They are slightly more oblong than the circular ring, so they take up more of a finger. The marquis cut is another popular one. It is like a pointier version of the oval ring, or like a pear shaped ring that is pointy at both ends. It also go knuckle to knuckle, though it is much more slender side to side.

Picking the band and the stone are only the beginning, though. Does your girlfriend want a single stone? It could draw more attention than several. You can also afford for it to be bigger if there are no other gems. Perhaps she would like a three-stone ring. Some even prefer diamonds to edge around the entire band, for both the engagement ring and the wedding band.

Should you have anything engraved on the ring? That could be a very sweet touch that only she would know about. Do you want her rings to match your own? You should look into making sure her engagement and wedding rings at least match each other, since they will share such a small space.
