How Is Teen Heart Disease Related To High Cholesterol?

As per the results of the research carried out by the Center of prevention of disease, one out of five American teenagers have the danger of facing heart problems as they grow up. Around 20% of the American teens have the below stated three problems: – High triglycerides. – Low HDL or good cholesterol – High LDL or bad cholesterol

These are definite symptoms of heart diseases.

Cholesterol is needed to have interlinking and to show liquid nature of the cell walls. Mother’s milk contains considerable quantity of cholesterol. It is sticky and it helps in the breaking down of chemicals.

Cholesterol is present in varying degrees in all foods containing animal fat. Plant based foods do not contain cholesterol, unless such is added during preparation. Basically, saturated fats and trans-fats added while preparing a meal play a much larger role in increasing blood cholesterol.

We don’t have to make teens the reason for the rise but it’s their food that has made them face this. The modern life has fast food as the basic intake and as kids eat chips and frozen foods they eventually are exposed to more risks. These foods contain high Tran’s fats which is the main reason behind causing a lipid imbalance as per the research.

Altering the way of living by having a healthy and clear diet with a routine of physical activities will help in eliminating this problem.

The sad portion is that everybody gets confused with the information and the advice they get from the internet. Internet has lot of people advising this way and they would not give the right piece of data. They would be interested to make money.

It is not a matter of substituting margarine with butter, or consuming meals prepared in olive oil or coconut oil. Your body requires a balanced diet that includes the right proportions of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. The idea is to avoid bad fats and trans-fats at all costs. Saturated fats too lead to high cholesterol, but natural, unprocessed fats do not cause harm if consumed in moderate quantities.

Those days teens used to go out for playing which burned the unwanted fats whatever they took. But now internet and gaming has made teens sit for a long time which does not allow any physical movements. So the teens grow obese and unhealthy. Once the diet is altered healthily it’s time to exercise.

Lowering cholesterol requires switching over to healthy foods and indulging in bursts of activity, even if it is for just 15 minutes at a time.

Maintaining Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a fatty substance that is present in every cell of our body. It plays an important role in hormone synthesis, producing Vitamin D and maintaining cell membranes. The human body is fully equipped to produce whatever cholesterol is required for maintaining these vital functions and extra cholesterol added through diet results in potentially dangerous high levels.

There are two types of cholesterol manufactured by your body: LDL, which is known as bad cholesterol and HDL, the good cholesterol. High levels of LDL lead to fatty deposits or plaque accumulation on arterial walls, which restrict free flow of oxygen rich blood. This increases the risk of heart attacks, stroke, arteriosclerosis (hardening of arterial walls) and coronary heart disease. Healthy levels of HDL, on the other hand, work to clean cholesterol from the arteries before it has the chance of forming into plaque.

Cholesterol levels are expressed in milligrams per deciliter of blood. Total cholesterol below 200mg/dl is desirable and levels between 200 and 239 are considered to be marginal. 240 mg/dl is considered high and requires attention. Most people aim at maintaining a borderline level of LDL of 130mg/dl. However, it is risky if you have other risk factors for heart disease.

A high cholesterol diagnosis is a scary thing and should not be ignored it because of the possible implications. High cholesterol can be controlled with a healthy lifestyle and treatment. Treatment of high cholesterol includes prescription medication and natural remedies, a controlled diet and exercise. Treatment of high cholesterol is for long term and it is advisable to avoid allopathic treatment as much as possible due to its side effects.

We do not pay attention to the food we take. Food plays a main role in keeping us fit and fine. Fats may be treated as the culprits for the rise in cholesterol but they are mainly wanted for retaining the cell walls, taking up the nutrients and nerve connectivity.

You wouldn’t just take your car to anyone to give it a checkup. So, why should you settle when you need to find doctors? It shouldn’t. That is why we are here to help you. Here are a few things that you might want to consider so that you can get the most from your doctor. You might not think of some of these things. We can help you to remember.

First of all, keep in mind how far away they are from your home or work. There are some doctors that if you aren’t on time, they will charge you an office charge and then have you wait. So, a closer doctor is a great idea, the closer; the better it is. Many times people will drive all. Yet, there are more things than that to look for.

Second of all, you should really know what their qualifications are. This includes the school that they graduated from. You might also ask how long have they been practicing in their respective field. These are questions that you need to ask. You really don’t want a doctor that is just got out of medical school. You want someone who has a bit of knowledge in their field.

You still need to look for bedside manners. There are many doctors who are great doctors, but they lack the nice attitude that we want from doctors. How many times have you gone to a doctor and just found them rude? It might happen more than you think. That is why you should almost go through an interview process with your doctor. Find out how they treat their patients.

Just another thing would be if they accept your insurance. Some only accept certain kinds. This could be a problem. Doctors Are Good To Visit

Everyone visits a doctor at least once in their lifetime. If someone gets hurt or sick they will most likely go to the doctor so they can feel better. People also go to the doctor for yearly check ups to make sure that they are in good health. There are also a lot of people who do not visit doctors because they are scared of doctors or scared of finding out that they have a serious illness or disease.

Even if you are scared to visit a doctor it is still good to go anyways. A lot of people do not like finding out that they might have something wrong with them but the thing is, it is better to find out that you have something wrong early on then later. Finding out earlier can help to cure the illness or disease easier and quicker.

If you are too nervous to go to the doctor alone, then it could be a good idea to bring a close friend or family member. This way they can keep you company while waiting to be called back. They can go back with you as well if it makes you feel more comfortable. This way they can be an extra set of ears while the doctor is talking to you and can also ask any questions you make not think to ask or are too nervous to ask.

From day one of life, people should start visiting a doctor. This will insure a healthier life. The more you visit a doctor the more he knows your body so he will be able to diagnose things easier.

In the medical field, there are many different types of a doctor that can be visited. If someone is having issues with their skin such as frequent break outs or dry skin then they can visit a skin doctor which is also know as a dermatologist. Or if you are having problems with your heart that you can visit a heart doctor which is called a cardiologist.

A doctor is very helpful and a caring person. They pretty much have to have these characteristics in order to be an effective doctor. People feel more comfortable around a doctor that shows they care for their patients. Sometimes people do not get along with their doctor very well. Maybe they have clashing personality types. It is acceptable to search around for a doctor that you get along with. Everybody is different. Different people have different personalities.

If you are hurt or not feeling well but the doctors office is closed then you could always go to the hospital emergency room. There is always nurses and a doctor on staff in the emergency room 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you with whatever problem you are experiencing.

Visiting the doctors office does not need to be a scary thing. They are there to help you, not to judge you. If you are worried or nervous then it is okay to bring a friend or family member. Just remember, it is better to go to the doctor and find out that nothing is wrong then to not go and then end up with something that is no longer curable.
